About Agni College of Technology (ACT), Chennai
Agni College of Technology Chennai was established in the year 2001 by Sri Balaji Charitable and Educational Trust with the objective of producing high-quality engineers and technocrats. Agni College of Technology is committed to developing students’ capability through continual improvements and excellence in teaching-learning, technical competency, skill development, innovation, research and entrepreneurship with an environmental concern.
Agni College of Technology is ISO 9001: 2008 certified and the courses offered in the ACT are recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi Affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. UG Level: ECE, EEE and CSE are NBA (National Board of Accreditation) accredited. Recently NIRF ranking is released by the Ministry of Education (MoE), the Government of India and Agni College of Technology has got NAAC accreditation of A+.
300 Startups is a Knowledge Initiative from Agni College of Technology to kindle the entrepreneurial spirit of the students. This is also a big step in empowering women as all 300 Startups have Women CEOs. Agni Foundation has signed an MoU with ELCOT, Govt. of Tamil Nadu for Rs 1500 Crores during the Global Investor Summit 2019.
ACT has three departments undergraduate, post-graduate and PhD research centres. It offers B.E. and B.Tech to Undergraduate, M.E. to Postgraduate, and PhD degrees to research students with various specializations in the streams of Engineering.
